Through addition of appropriate downstream equipment, the TEACH-LINE® bench-top compounder can be expanded into a complete direct extrusion line. The figure shows an example of a cast film line. This gives the user the ability to assess the benefits of the direct extrusion process in the laboratory with minimal material usage. From the end product, it is possible to analyze the compounding step as well as the resultant product properties.
