This innovative laboratory unit contains several new developments that considerably extend the range of applications beyond that of conventional equipment.

For instance, it is possible to test high-temperature plastics up to 450°C. Sheet up to 3.5 mm thick can be stretched at a stretching speed of up to 1 m/s. The newly developed infrared heating system with built-in cooling makes it possible to replicate the entire production process in a single operation. This improves scale-up of trial results to production conditions to a previously unattainable degree. In turn, development times can be reduced drastically.
